This EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group Customer Policy (“EBSFS Policy”) sets forth the standard practices and procedures related to certain aspects of our relationship, including the order, inventory, delivery and return of food products.  For Customers who buy from us pursuant to a contract, this Policy is hereby incorporated into that Agreement.  Any capitalized terms contained in this Policy that are not defined herein will have the meanings given in the Agreement between EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group and Customer.

Ordering products and services from EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group requires Customers to open an account, which requires that you provide us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted. You must choose a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Furthermore, you are responsible for any and all activities that occur on your EBSFS account. You agree to notify EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security of which you become aware. EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group will not be responsible or liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by EnRoute Bakery Supplies and Food Services Group or another party due to someone else using your account or password. You may not use anyone else’s EBSFS account at any time, without the permission of the account holder.

EBSFS delivery, receiving and unloading policies are:

        Delivery Terms:

  • EBSFS assigns specific delivery days for specific counties and cities across Northern Virginia, and deliveries will be made in accordance with EBSFS delivery schedule. An off-schedule delivery may be requested by a Customer, with an additional off-cycle fee applied.

  • Delivery dates that fall on a holiday will be rescheduled by prior arrangement at least one (1) week in advance.

        Customer Premises Unloading Terms:

  • Customer employees are not permitted to assist EBSFS drivers unload any items, boxes or cases.

  • Customer employees are not permitted on EBSFS delivery cars, vans, trucks or trailers.

  • EBSFS driver will unload and place all orders in the Customer designated areas agreed to in advance by EBSFS and Customer.

  • EBSFS driver will not be responsible for placing items, boxes or cases on the Customer storage solutions and shelves.

  • For tailgate, truck-to-truck or van-to-van deliveries, EBSFS driver will bring all Products to the rear of EBSFS delivery vehicle and Customer employees will be responsible for taking the Product from the rear of the delivery vehicle into the Customer premises. Truck-to-truck and van-to-van deliveries must be agreed to in writing in advance by EBSFS.

        Customer Product Responsibilities:

  • Upon receipt, Customer is responsible to store immediately all frozen and refrigerated products at manufacturer's recommended storage temperature.

        Customer Receiving Responsibilities and Return Policy:

  • All items, boxes and cases must be counted before the EBSFS driver and Customer sign the invoice. All invoice copies must be signed. EBSFS driver will keep a copy and leave a copy with the Customer.

  • Once the Customer has signed for a specific quantity of items, boxes and cases and the EBSFS driver has left the premises, the shipment is the Customer’s responsibility. Customers will not be credited for shortages once the invoice has been signed and the EBSFS driver has gone.

  • At the time of delivery, Customer designated representative should receive the shipment and sign for the Products. All shortages, damages or rejected products should be noted on the invoice at time of delivery, before the EBSFS driver leaves.

  • Arrangements for product returns must be made through our order department. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, frozen and personalized merchandising/promotional/branded products may not be returned.

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number is required for all returns and a 25% restocking fee may apply. Pick-up charges will apply for EBSFS to collect item(s) to be returned. Customer will be responsible for items that can be returned directly to our manufacturers. Other charges may also apply.

  • Customers right to return Product will be subject to properly maintaining, storing and segregating products in a manner that ensures that non-damaged and non-rejected products are viable for resale. 

  • Non-refrigerated, non-ready-to-eat and non-frozen products may be returned, along with: i) pre-approval, with an issuance of a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number; ii)  reason why the product is being returned; iii) SKU/product code number, price, quantity and descriptions; and iv) EBSFS invoice number. 

  • Customer product credit is contingent on the product being unopened (unless there is concealed damage), non-perishable, in good condition and with adequate shelf life remaining to allow for resale. 

  • A issued RMA may be revoked for a number of reasons. Upon Customer product receipt and inspection identifies the product received: i) is not the product subject to the issued RMA; ii) has damage in excess of that communicated by the Customer; iii) does not have adequate resale value or realizes; iv) does not have its original packaging; or v) the product has been opened.

        Virginia Sales Tax:

  • A sales tax is automatically calculated on both the value of the products and the shipping charge as required by Commonwealth of Virginia law.

  • If your delivery address is in the Commonwealth of Virginia, you will be charged sales tax.

  • If you have requested that EBSFS ship product to an address outside of the Commonwealth of Virginia, you will not be charged sales tax.
